ABOUT IRISH TRAIN

You would think I went to Notre Dame. That’s not the case.

I would have been a third generation, but I didn’t get accepted. I struggled in school from a learning disability. I grew up going to Notre Dame games. My dad’s classmates were John Huarte (1965 Heisman) and Nick Eddy (RIP), who played in the NFL.

Because of ESPN and Reddit CFB, I ended up being part of Notre Dame after all — they accidentally helped turn me into “Irish Train.”

THE EXPERIENCE

Irish Train is about showing up.

It’s the moment when strangers invite you into their tailgate. The photo that ends up somewhere you never expected. The smile from a kid in a hospital room who needed it more than a scoreboard update.

From road games and championship weekends to volunteering at children’s hospitals, this has always been about making the day better for the people around it — not chasing attention, creating memories.

Somehow, along the way, Irish Train became part of the experience.
